Grover first opened its doors in Milwaukee in 1929, as Grover Piston Ring under founder Richard Grover. It was innovative thinking that led Grover to develop the Permaseal® interlocking joint in 1929. It is the same innovative thinking that drives us to set new benchmarks for quality, efficiency and service today. With its superior sealing features, Permaseal® became the new industry standard, lowering costs for hydraulic cylinder manufacturers.
Product Line Expanded

Grover begins expanding its product line to include compressor and transmission applications bringing the same performance and cost saving advantages to new industries.
Transfer of Ownership
1993
Stuart Banghart purchases Grover Piston Ring, instilling a company-wide commitment to lean manufacturing and identifying new ways to help customers improve quality and production efficiency.

Double Seal Ring Company Acquired
2005
In 2005 Grover Corporation acquired the operations of Double Seal Ring Co. of Fort Worth, Texas.

Consolidation of TX and WI Facilities
2018
In January of 2018, Grover Corporation consolidated its Milwaukee, WI and Ft. Worth, TX piston ring production operations into a new, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Glendale, WI. The consolidation improves efficiencies and communication, provides for new equipment and company capabilities and positions Grover to enhance its ability to execute on its vision as the best supplier for industrial piston rings.
