Ductile (Nodular) Iron
Ductile or Nodular iron is a high-strength iron best suited for applications where the ring will experience an impact or rapid change in direction. This material does not have the microstructure matrix of Grover’s piston ring iron GC-211 and will induce higher wear on the bore. Grover’s engineering department will provide special installation instructions.
