CNC Machine Operator/ Programmer

- Base Pay Range: $13.00 - $18.00 per hour

Our machine operators set up, operate and adjust semi-automatic and/or CNC machining equipment to perform standard and repetitive sequences of operation. Operations include drilling, boring, milling, and turning to attain a high quality of production.
Responsibilities include:
- Knowledge of machining processes and recognizes tooling and procedures where close tolerances are required.
- Follow detailed instructions from shop routings and part drawings to produce a quality product.
- Operate control console to orient spindle, check work position at specified reference points, and adjust machine and fixture stops to maintain finish and tolerance requirements.
- Understand program format particularly in G and M code, and work from operational data defining and coding tooling, fixturing, and machine arrangements.
- Use required precision measuring instruments to check machine positioning and inspect work.
- Recognize and report machine malfunctions, tooling difficulties, and able to perform routine minor repairs on machine.
- Qualifications: Job requirements: (1) a minimum of 3 years experience with general knowledge of tooling applications and machining practices, (2) basic training on CNC machine tools and program format, (3) knowledge of quality inspection methods to be performed on various machined parts.
